Sparrows

Matthew 6:26 & Matthew 10:29-31

Matthew 6:26 & Matthew 10:29-31

You can’t add a single day by worrying –
you’ll worry your life away…
Oh, don’t worry your life away!
You can’t change a single thing by freaking out,
it’s just gonna close you in;
Oh, don’t let the trouble win!

You may feel alone,
but you’re not on your own!

(La-la-la, la-la-la-la)
If He can hold the world, He can hold this moment!
(La-la-la, la-la-la-la)
Not a field nor flower escapes His notice…
Oh, even the sparrow
knows He holds tomorrow…

Lean in and it’s hard to miss: everything can change
when you make it His –
oh, He wants to carry it…
Carefree in the care of God, when you let it go
you’ll find that He’s enough!
Oh, you never leave His love…

You don’t walk alone!

Chorus

There’s not a single star that’s out of place,
there’s nothing broken He can’t remake…
If you long for hope when you’re afraid,
oh, look at the sparrow,
look at the sparrow…

I’m gonna keep on

Well it’s as old as the Bible: the folks, they keep on searching…
They’re discouraged, downhearted and worried ’bout their destiny.
But there are too many answers to keep on asking the same old questions…
I found Jesus, and let me tell you:  brother, that’s enough for me!

I’m gonna keep on singing and telling folks about Jesus!
I’m going keep on writing mainly in the Major keys…
I’m gonna keep on loving and pointing folks to Calvary:
I’ve found Jesus, and let me tell you: brother, that’s enough for me!

I know people who are frightened about the future of our country…
And they ask me if I’m worried about the market or the economy.
But I’ve a Pilot Who has weathered every storm that ever happened,
and if He sees that little sparrow, I know He’ll take good care of me!

Chorus

Matthew 10
29  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
