Grace is enough

I can boast to many works done out of insecurity,
and credit many conversations to my immaturity.
And while I’m misunderstood, You are understanding me,
and showing me how Grace is enough

For everything that I’ve done right, seems like a thousand I’ve done wrong;
And I keep on losing count of all the times my flesh has won…
And when the light of Christ that’s in me, is overshadowed by the fall,
You’re showing me how Grace is enough…

When I feel unworthy, so undeserving –

Still I can come, just as I am,
for I find Your love is free of condition!
So I will run to Your wide-open arms,
where I am accepted, and I am forgiven:
Grace is enough for me
Your grace is enough for me

I’ve been quick at passing judgment, when I’m worthy of conviction;
and at times I’ve measured virtue only based on my religion!
But theology, it seems, is not the things that’s saving me –
You are showing me a Grace that’s enough…

When I feel unworthy, so undeserving –

Chorus

Though I was blind, now I see –
Sweet is the sound of Your grace over me!
You said it all on the Cross –
Your grace goes beyond all that I’ve done…

When I feel unworthy, so undeserving,
You love me beyond all my failing and hurting.
It’s not who I am, but who I can be;
I know You are working Your purpose in me!

Chorus

Your grace is enough – more than enough!
Your grace is enough for me…

2 Corinthians 12
7  And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.  8  For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.  9  And He said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Ephesians 2
4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,  5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  7  That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Titus 2
11  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  14  Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace – how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now I’m found;  was blind, but now I see!

T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear, and Grace my fears relieved!
How precious did that Grace appear the hour I first believed…

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me – His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be, as long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil, a life of joy and peace.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun,
we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’ve first begun!

Heaven’s Child

Heaven’s Child, heaven’s Child
Jesus lived on earth as heaven’s Child;
Born below for the grace of God to show:
He was forever from the Father, heaven’s Child

Looking like other children,
He seemed to be
a Boy full of fun;
But His eyes could always see
a person’s secret need –
from above, He was God’s Son

Chorus

Walking with ones who stumbled,
He never fell –
He was God in human skin.
Yet because He walked with man,
He alone can understand
how we need Him as our Friend!

Chorus

When He was grown,
His love was shown
on a tree beneath the darkened sun.
His love would cost
His Life on a cross,
so we can become heaven’s child!

Philippians 2:5-11
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:   Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name:  That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Hebrews 4:14-16
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.  For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

We’ll understand it better by and by

We are tossed and driven on the restless sea of time;   (James 1:6)
somber skies and howling tempests oft succeed a bright sunshine;
in that land of perfect day, when the mists are rolled away,
we will understand it better by and by.   (Ephesians 1:18)

By and by, when the morning comes,
when the saints of God are gathered Home,
we’ll tell the story how we’ve overcome,   (Revelation 12:11)
for we’ll understand it better by and by.   (John 13:7)

We are often destitute of the things that life demands,   (Philippians 4:11-13)
want of food and want of shelter, thirsty hills and barren lands;
we are trusting in the Lord, and according to God’s Word,  (Psalm 119:42)
we will understand it better by and by.

Chorus

Trials dark on every hand, and we cannot understand
all the ways of God would lead us to that blessed Promised Land;   (Proverbs 20:24)
but he guides us with his eye, and we’ll follow till we die,   (Psalm 32:8)
for we’ll understand it better by and by.

Chorus

Temptations, hidden snares often take us unawares,
and our hearts are made to bleed for a thoughtless word or deed;
and we wonder why the test when we try to do our best,  (John 16:33)
but we’ll understand it better by and by.

I’m Yours, LORD

I’m Yours Lord, everything I’ve got
Everything I am, everything I’m not.
I’m Yours Lord, try me now and see
See if I can be completely Yours.

My life and my love, I leave in Your hands,
I’ll gladly perform as Your will demands
I know it’s not much, Your gift to repay,
but it’s all I can give, and all I can say is…

I’m Yours Lord, everything I’ve got
Everything I am, everything I’m not.
I’m Yours Lord, try me now and see
See if I can be completely Yours.

You put in us all, a desire to belong,
to join with Your strength and thus become strong
With that thought in mind, I reach for the Prize,
I lift up my voice to reemphasize that…

I’m Yours Lord, everything I’ve got
Everything I am, everything I’m not.
I’m Yours Lord, try me now and see
See if I can be completely Yours.

If you hear this song but you don’t understand,
the answer is clear, just reach out your hand
When you feel the force, of Jesus the King,
Just lift up your voice, and join in and sing…

I’m Yours Lord, everything I’ve got
Everything I am, everything I’m not.
I’m Yours Lord, try me now and see
See if I can be completely Yours.

Ephesians 5

15  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Jesus Christ – the Head over all (Ephesians 1:15-23)

15  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
